Knockbreda Methodists meet for Morning Worship at 10:00am each Sunday. The morning service lasts about 75 minutes, although Holy Communion normally held on the 1st Sunday of the month, may take slightly longer. There are also special evening Sunday services throughout the year. Knockbreda serves the Cregagh and Rosetta areas but we have many regular attenders from further afield.
Our Circuit Superintendent is The Rev Dr John Alderdice. Our Ministry is also delivered by The Rev Tanita Lee, retired Ministers The Rev. Heather Bell and The Rev Peter Mercer, Lay Preachers David Cather, Adrian Gundy, and Maureen Thompson and throughout the year we also have regular visiting preachers.
Our Sunday morning worship is our main weekly gathering of the church. All ages come together at the beginning of the service, typically for a period of about 15 to 20 minutes. At this point the children and young people go off into different groups appropriate for their ages. You are welcome to go out to the group with your child if you wish, for example to help them settle.
We celebrate with a range of worship styles, traditional hymns accompanied by an organ and on some occasions also contemporary songs led by a worship group often comprising guitars, keyboards and drums. Video and multimedia clips are a regular feature of the worship.
At the end of the service there is a small team of people on hand at the front of the worship area to talk and pray with any who feel this would be helpful. Meanwhile coffee, tea and biscuits are served in the hall, with many staying to chat.
If you have not been to Knockbreda Methodist before please come along next Sunday; you will be warmly welcomed.
